 | OIA's Global Learning Initiatives recently welcomed 24 German Fulbright undergraduates for Discover the USA, a summer institute sponsored by the German-American Fulbright Commission. From field trips to historic U.S. landmarks to final projects addressing real-world challenges, the four-week program combined cultural exploration, leadership training and community engagement.  | Funding Your Future Abroad Education Abroad is committed to supporting every Terp's study abroad goals. At last month's Slice of Opportunity workshop, students learned about funding opportunities from Education Abroad staff and our partners at the National Scholarships Office, including the Gilman International Scholarship, Fund for Education Abroad and UMD-specific scholarships. A special thanks to our Gilman Scholars Zohneseh and Ellie who offered advice to fellow Pell Grant recipients. |

 | This summer, two interns helped launch Global Terps for a Greener Future, a new ISSS initiative supported by the Office of Sustainability. Abigail Vanasse and Mikhil Choda created resources, digital campaigns and orientation activities linking global learning with sustainability.
This fall, a 20-student cohort will scale their work, advancing UMD’s commitment to intercultural collaboration and environmental stewardship. Read more |
