The science outreach teams at Society for Neuroscience (DC Chapter), University of Maryland’s Neuroscience and Cognitive Science program, and Johns Hopkins’ Neuroscience Training program have organized a virtual neuroscience research/career panel for undergraduates throughout the DMV area.
Do YOU want to explore some post-graduate and higher education pathways to neuroscience with a group of fun early-career neuroscience researchers? This is a great chance to see what’s out there after college!
The panel will have PhD students, post-baccalaureate fellows, and MD-PhD students, all involved in the field of neuroscience. In this casual panel, they will be answering questions from students about anything, such as how they decided on their career path, advice for young students, likes/dislikes about their jobs, and much more! They will start with a general panel discussion (~45 mins), and then break into smaller groups (e.g., one breakout room with only PhD students), to allow for more specific questions. The event will take place on October 21 at 5 pm EST!Fill out the short Google form to indicate your interest here (required to attend this virtual event!): https://forms.gle/ZvcYpPCRRbFH4s7w5
