Full-Time Research Program Coordinator Position at Boston University
Alzheimer& Disease Research Center (Start June 2025)
We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our team as a Research Program
Coordinator at the Boston University Alzheimer& Disease Research Center (BU
ADRC). This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with a minimum commitment of
two years, ideally starting in June 2025.
Job Description
At the BU ADRC and our partner VA Boston, you will advance Alzheimer’s research and
community engagement, focusing on aging and dementia. You’ll manage and
coordinate community outreach, educational programming, and collaborative research
projects, including leadership roles within the Outreach, Recruitment, and
Engagement (ORE) Core, the Research Education Component (REC) Scholars
Program, and the HOPE Study (Health Outreach Program for the Elderly). You’ll
also participate in Cognitive Neuroscience Research using methods such as EEG,
MRI, and Neuropsychological testing to evaluate thinking and memory in older adults
with and without memory problems.
Eligibility & Preferences
- Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, psychology, or related fields.
- Previous human subjects research experience, community outreach, and/or
leadership roles.
- Experience working with elderly and/or minoritized populations
- A strong interest in Alzheimer’s research.
Commitment
- Full-time position (40 hours per week, 5 days per week, 8-hour workdays)
- Mostly in-person but occasional remote work available when not engaged with
- events, running participants, and in-person meetings.
- Start Date: Preferably June 2024
- Minimum Commitment: Two years
