- Dates: Begins March 1 and runs for 8 weeks.
- This course is best suited for all first year students.
The University of Maryland is committed to addressing and proposing solutions to the grand challenges facing the world today. In this dynamic course, first year students will be introduced to the UN Sustainable Development Goals as a blueprint for addressing grand challenges to achieve a more equitable and sustainable future for all. Students will work virtually and collaboratively on projects with peers from across UMD’s global network using design thinking methods and the SDGs framework to engage in creative problem-solving for the improvement of the common good through a series of guest lectures featuring the founders of the SDGs and international practitioners.
