Public Programs Manager

Columbia University’s Mortimer B. Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute supports interdisciplinary neuroscience research and discovery by scientists and scholars across the university and promises to be the most comprehensive institute for brain science.

The Zuckerman Institute seeks a talented individual who possesses expertise in neuroscience or a related field, and science communication or public engagement with science. Reporting to the Senior Content Development Specialist, the Public Programs Manager will assist in the management of public engagement programs including Breakout Science, a program of interdisciplinary events bridging the arts and science, in collaboration with community-based organizations. The Public Programs Manager will also assist with program evaluation, grant writing and fostering a community of scientists and staff engaging with public programs. The Public Programs Manager will also assist with other programs designed to bring science to public audiences.
