Paid Opportunity!Poll Working for the 2022 Elections
Did you know that you can get paid for ensuring your community has safe, fair, and efficient elections? Polling stations around the country are often forced to close due to a lack of poll workers. Poll workers are regular citizens (like you) who help administer election processes to their communities! What do poll workers do? - Help voters check-in
- Manage voting lines
- Troubleshoot equipment
- Provide directions and general assistance
What are the requirements to be a poll worker in Maryland? - Be a registered voter in the State of Maryland
- Must be 17 years old or older
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English
- Willingness to work outside your home precinct
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for an extended period of time
Other Notes: - Poll-working is a non-partisan activity, so party affiliation doesn't matter!
- Paid training occurs prior to working Election Day.
