The Child Development lab conducts research on socio-emotional development using cognitive neuroscience (e.g., EEG and fMRI) and behavioral methods. The Origins of Infant Temperament (OIT) project is looking for motivated undergraduate research assistants (UGRAs) to join our team. The OIT project aims to identify neural markers of risk for anxiety in infancy. To do so, we are collecting fMRI and EEG data from infants in their first six months of life and measuring several aspects of infant behavior. Our goal is to link these neural measures with behavioral measures to better understand how brain development is related to risk for developing anxiety. UGRAs on our team support recruitment, data collection, and behavior coding. Ideal UGRAs are those who are comfortable working with families of young infants, have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and an interest in child development and/or neuroscience research.
