Dr. David Martinez at the University of Maryland Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security (ARLIS) is looking for an undergraduate research assistant for Winter/Spring 2023 to work on a project investigating creative problem solving in healthy young adults. This position is paid ($15/hour) and NOT for credit.
Responsibilities
The undergraduate RA will be responsible for participant recruitment and testing, assessing participant performance, and, depending on skill set, interest, and project needs, may also assist with data analysis, literature reviews, write-ups, and presentations.
Undergraduate RAs will also be expected to attend lab meetings and complete readings related to our research.
Qualifications
- Due to the nature of work conducted at ARLIS, RAs must be able to obtain a security clearance (i.e., be a US citizen and pass a background check)
- Majoring in psychology or a related discipline.
- Strong academic background (e.g., GPA 3.5)
- Available to work at least 10 hours/week.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills
- Ideally, interested in creativity, intelligence, and/or (working/short-term) memory but not required.
