IISAGE: Undergraduate Biological Research Summer 2023

Research Experiences for  Undergraduates (REU) program

Integration Institute: Sex, Aging, Genomics, &  Evolution (IISAGE)

IISAGE (www.iisage.org) is recruiting undergraduate students to participate in biological research projects  during summer 2023. Students will join IISAGE member labs to investigate the reasons why males and  females age differently across diverse animal species. This research spans different levels of organization:  projects range from computational studies to molecular and physiological studies in the laboratory, to field work  on wild populations. This paid summer research experience provides in-depth research training as well as  career development skills in a team setting. Students will be co-mentored by faculty, postdocs, and graduate  students from across IISAGE. Positions are available in all IISAGE laboratories listed below. The summer  research experience will culminate in a poster presentation of the results.

Eligibility:

Participants in this NSF-sponsored program must be US citizens, nationals, or permanent residents.

Participants must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program to participate. Students that  graduate before the end of the program period are not eligible to participate.
