Let it Synapse into Place this Summer!

The Summer Undergraduate Research Experience in Neuroscience (NSURE) is an NIH-funded training program designed to provide an immersive biomedical research experience for the next generation of scientists. The objective is to train students in lab experimentation through the execution of an interdisciplinary research project.

APPLY TODAY!

Under the mentorship of NSURE faculty and graduate students, participants engage in all aspects of research—from project design, data collection, and analysis to presentation and dissemination.

In addition to the competitive training participants receive, NSURE provides a generous stipend, free on-campus housing, and travel reimbursements (up to the program limit).

Who is Invited to Apply?

NSURE welcomes applications from any undergraduate student interested in neuroscience research. However, some restrictions do apply. All participants must:

  • be US citizens or permanent residents

  • have at least one (1) semester of study remaining after program completion (i.e., graduates are ineligible)

  • be at least 18 years of age

NSURE particularly encourages applications from underrepresented populations in STEM.

Attend an Info Session

We are hosting weekly virtual info sessions for anyone interested in the program (applicants, academic advisors, faculty, or program coordinators). Everyone is welcome.

All sessions are hosted on Fridays from 12:00 - 12:30 PM EST. Registration is required.
