Data Curation Fellowship
For Spring 2024!
About:
This fellowship is focused on developing curated social science datasets from real, raw data sources. Fellows will work with a faculty sponsor to identify data sources and be responsible for cleaning, transforming, exploring, and documenting the data so that it can be used to demonstrate quantitative social science research. Fellows will gain invaluable experience in managing the upstream portion of the data lifecycle, and their work will be featured in a public-facing website. Working as a data curation fellow will provide a greater understanding of collaborative work culture, organizational skills, and other important lessons that can be valuable in the future.
We are very open to students who want to use this opportunity to develop their data management skills. Given this, students who may lack formal training in data curation, but who have a strong motivation to learn how to do it, are encouraged to apply.
