Intern for a Day matches undergraduate UMD students with professionals working in their field of interest for either a half-day or full-day in-person job shadowing experience. Students have access to many hosts - 200+ hosts for virtual informational interviews and in-person job shadowing! This semester, hosts are offering either full day/half day in-person job shadowing opportunities OR 1-hour virtual informational interviewing opportunities. Hope, Healing, and Mobilizing Against Hate |
In a moment of so many injustices, are you trying to figure out how to do your part? In fights for social justice: Are you disrupting? Are taking care of those most affected? Are you a storyteller? Artist? Are you an activist? Are you not sure what to do in the face of prejudice? Are you struggling to have hope? Join us for an all-day leadership training event on Friday, February 16 from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm as we imagine how to respond individually and collectively to everyday situations and emergent incidents. Hope, Healing, and Mobilizing Against Hate seeks to build a diverse community of Terps who are interested in expanding their capacity to address incidents of bias and hate, in collaborative, thoughtful, and sustaining ways. BSOS Summer Scholars |
The BSOS Summer Scholars program supports undergraduate students doing independent research projects with faculty in the summer. Recipients will gain a competitive edge when applying for graduate study, national scholarships, and other awards. The BSOS Summer Scholars program runs annually in the Spring Semester. Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors with at least a 3.4 GPA are invited to apply. We will be accepting applications through InfoReady until March 1.
