We are seeking to recruit a full-time laboratory technician in the Department of Pharmacology (https://medschool.usuhs.edu/pha) at Uniformed Services University (USU).
USU is the military medical school located on the grounds of the Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre in Bethesda, MD, within walking distance of the Medical Center metro stop. As this position is funded by research grants, the successful applicant will be employed by the Henry M Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (https://www.hjf.org/).
The position will involve research into traumatic brain injury, using both animal models and 3D cell culture. Training will be provided. We are seeking a recent graduate in the biological sciences with a strong interest in conducting medical research in a collaborative academic environment. Previous research experience is highly desirable. Interest and training in neuroscience is also an advantage. This is a great job for a recent graduate who is interested in graduate or medical school, but wishes to postpone pursuing further education for two years. You should be available to work full time from July/August 2024.
