Come join students, faculty, and staff in our collective commitment to belonging, peace, addressing bias, and promoting justice for 9 days of meditation in the lead up to, and immediately following, the election.
Meditation has been shown by research to reduce bias across difference, burnout, stress hormones, and increase most dimensions of wellness. Recent research has shown that there are societal benefits to collective meditation as well.* We will use this time to reduce our stress, strengthen our commitment to reducing bias, send loving kindness into the world, and surround our community with a sense of wellbeing and belonging in the midst of and to honor our differences.
Not able to vote? Please still join us. Choosing not to vote? Please still join us. Never meditated before? Join us. Meditated forever? Join us. If your mind and body aren't sure if you can do this, that is okay! Come be in a peaceful space with us, take a nap with us, or color with us.
Neurodiverse and diverse bodies/minds celebrated in this trauma-informed space. Bring a pillow or mat if you want to. Bring a water bottle if possible. Need accommodations or interpretation?
