Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security (ARLIS) at the University of Maryland, College Park, is accepting applications for the 2025 Research for Intelligence & Security Challenges (RISC) Initiative internship program (June 2--August 8).
Competitively-selected RISC interns (RISCers) work in teams with mentorship from university faculty and government practitioners, tackling real security and intelligence problems hands-on. Work is primarily conducted virtually, with some opportunities for in-person collaboration and in-person project outbriefs presented the final week. Internship participation includes possible sponsorship for a security clearance and brings the opportunity to be considered for future employment with the U.S. government.
