Maryland General Assembly Internship Program: Get Professional Writing Credit!

 

Are you interested in how decisions are made in  Maryland?
Want to get great professional experience? 

for the English Department’s Maryland General  Assembly (MGA) Internship Program. Interns at the  MGA work as integral members of a legislative staff,  write letters and committee testimony, research  policy, work with constituents, and assist legislators  with other activities during the 90-day 2026  legislative session. To be eligible students must be a  junior by the end of fall 2025, be able to commit to the  fall course and spring internship, have a minimum  GPA of 3.0, and grades of A or B in any writing  courses they have taken.
