Undergraduate Research Opportunities in the GARD lab!

 

 

The Growth and Resilience Across Development (GARD) Lab at University in Maryland, College Park is recruiting undergraduate research assistants. The lab has two arms of study: (1) how environmental experiences shape adolescent cognitive, socioemotional, and brain development; (2) how biopsychosocial research studies can integrate community perspectives into study design, implementation, and dissemination. The lab has several active research studies and science communication efforts, which new undergraduate RAs will support. Qualifications

  1. Must have completed PSYC200 and/or STAT100 or a research methods equivalent

  2. Commit a minimum of 2 semesters 

  3. Must be able to enroll in PSYC 479 or NEUR 479 credit for participation in the lab

  4. Previous experience with children is favorable, but not required.

  5. Previous research experience is appreciated, but not required.

  6. Must have a positive attitude and an appreciation for science, research, and community

  7. Willingness to take the Metro (around the DMV) 

  8. Preference will be given to students who can work in the lab during the  summer.
