š§ š¢ Meet NEUR First-Gen Terp Laila Carrol '28!
An aspiring dentist in the Molecular, Cellular and Physiological Neuroscience track, Laila hopes to use her understanding of fear circuits and pain pathways to reduce patient anxiety and build trust. She is also proud to have presented her research on medical mistrust at the NBASLH conference in Georgia!
For Laila, being first-gen means opening doors for future generations and creating a legacy through perseverance.
