Dr. Andrew Lutas, a Stadtman Investigator at the NIH Bethesda campus is looking for students interested in participating in an exciting hands-on opportunity in cutting-edge neuroscience research. His lab’s research focuses on neuromodulation of brain circuits that control motivation with the goal of uncovering treatment strategies for obesity.
They use advanced fluorescence microscopy techniques and complex rodent behavioral tasks to achieve this goal. Additionally, they have on-going studies focusing on dopamine and other neuropeptides in the amygdala and connected brain areas. The lab is committed to supporting the DEIA mission of NIH and aims to foster a diverse group.
If you are interested in doing hands-on research and gaining experience that will prepare you for graduate school or a job in industry, please reach out to Dr. Andrew Lutas with your resume and any questions at andrew.lutas@nih.gov.
