Eligibility: The STEAM Scholarship supports underrepresented and underprivileged, and exceptional students pursuing a degree in sustainability and S.T.E.A.M: (Science, technology, engineering, arts (creative) or mathematics.

Marion B. Sewer Distinguished Scholarship for Undergraduates
Eligibility: Students who demonstrate an interest in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology and enhance the diversity of science. Students whose social, educational or economic background adds to the diversity of the biomedical workforce or who show commitment to enhancing academic success of underrepresented students are eligible.
$2,000 toward undergraduate tuition costs for one academic year. We provide our applicants with graduate school preparation material, one-on-one guidance from a mentor in their STEM field, financial assistance in the form of fee waivers, feedback on written materials, access to webinars, mock interviews, and access to a broader community of peers and mentors.

SACNAS/NSF Grant Writing and Peer Review Workshop
Eligibility: Advanced graduate students interested in submitting a grant proposal to either the Biological Sciences (BIO) or STEM Education (EDU) directorates at NSF.
Participants will 1) Have the opportunity to revise an idea for a grant proposal and have it critiqued by peers and advisers, 2) Learn about the merit review process and how to get involved as a reviewer at NSF, 3) Get hands on experience reviewing proposals as part of a mock review panel. The in-person 2.5-day event will be held August 14 - 16 in Miami, FL. Airfare and lodging will be provided to all participants.
