We are looking for eager undergrads who might be
interested in helping to review individual chapters in a new textbookfor Introduction to Behavioral Neuroscience. This new book is scheduled
for publication by OpenStax in Spring 2024 and will be open access
(funded by NSF, [1]IOS2035041): Kirby ED, Glenn MJ, Sandstrom NJ,
Williams CL, eds. Introduction to Behavioral Neuroscience, 1e. Houston,
TX: OpenStax, date of publication pending.
Each chapter is written by a different author or set of authors. A key
part of our review of these chapters is getting student feedback. We
have several chapters that either need student reviewers now or will
need them in the near future. The list of chapter topics where we are
or will be seeking student reviews is below.
Students do NOT need any specific expertise to join us in this effort.
The only requirements are 1) that they have taken the equivalent of an
Introduction to Behavioral Neuroscience course and 2) that they be
current or very recent undergraduates. They can list this review
activity on their CVs and also be listed in our public reviewer
acknowledgements page in the book itself.
If you know of a student who would like to help out, please either send
me ([2]kirby.224@osu.edu) their contact information or have them
contact me directly.
