The Long Nguyen and Kimmy Duong Scholarship Programs
School Year 2025-2026
DEADLINES:
12/1/24 - 3/29/25: Online Portal Open for Receiving Applications
3/30/25 - 6/30/25: Review and Select Candidates for Interviews
Saturday 7/19/25: Scholarship Award Ceremony
The program is for undergraduate students enrolled in the following eight institutions:
The University of Maryland (UMD-CP, UMB, UMBC)
George Mason University (GMU)
NOVA Community College (NOVA)
University of the District of Columbia (UDC)
Montgomery College (MC)
Virginia Tech (VT)
University of Virginia (UVA)
Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)
Eligible students must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents, regardless of ethnicity (except for the 3 gold scholarships mentioned below) who demonstrate:
Outstanding academic achievement,
Strong leadership potential,
A strack record of service to the communities,
Pride in their culture and heritage,
A passion to apply their academic background to create a better world, both in America and in Vietnam and
Accepting scholarships at the Scholarship Award Ceremony.

3 Gold scholarships will be reserved for Vietnamese students from Vietnam, who have been accepted to the above 10 U.S. universities.
Each scholarship will be $3,000 annually (Diamond Prize), $2000 annually (Gold Prize).
The top scholar will be awarded $5,000 (Platinum Prize).
The scholarship is renewable annually for up to 4 years, for students who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
