 Moksha 2026 championship

The neuroscience community  proudly recognizes Amrutha Alibilli, Smrti Arava, Krisha Pandya, and Malavika Kattuparambil for their exceptional achievement as members of the Moksha Indian Classical Dance Team.

Competing at the Origins National Intercollegiate Championship, Moksha secured an impressive second-place finish among more than 50 distinguished university teams, including Cornell University, Rutgers University, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of California, San Diego, Rice University, and the University of Texas at Dallas. This national competition represents one of the most prominent stages for collegiate Indian classical dance in the country.

Their accomplishment highlights the interdisciplinary excellence of NEUR majors, demonstrating a commitment not only to rigorous scientific study but also to cultural expression, teamwork, and artistic mastery.

We commend these students for representing the University of Maryland with distinction and for embodying the breadth of talent within the neuroscience program.
